HAUNTED MANSION

AT ESSENCE FEST

At MiHi, we thrive on crafting unique and custom activations from the ground up. When Wasserman, a prominent player in the event marketing industry, approached us, they had a special request: bring the Haunted Mansion to life for their movie screening event in New Orleans during the Essence Festival.

 

This VIP event boasted a relatively small guest count, making the creation of an attractive and engaging experience critical to its success.

SERVICES PROVIDED:

DESIGN & SET FABRICATION

Our set was a fabric Victorian background that we produced. Our client had initially planned on building a physical structure, however, our fabrication allowed them to open up more budget in different areas of the event, as well as extended the deadline with faster lead times.

ANIMATION DESIGN
& PROGRAMMING

Our team developed captivating and ghostly animations that added an extra layer of spookiness to the experience.

DOUBLE-EXPOSURE PHOTOGRAPHY

To achieve the ghostly effect, we employed double exposure photography techniques, seamlessly blending the real and spectral worlds.

USER EXPERIENCE
(UX) FOCUS

Understanding that a successful activation extends beyond the final output, our initial emphasis was on the user experience that guests would encounter at the booth. We opted for a mirror photo booth adorned with a vintage frame, but what truly set it apart were the special video effects displayed on the screen. These effects would overlay on guests as they stood in front of the booth, transforming each person into a ghostly apparition, perfectly complementing the Haunted Mansion theme.

SUCCESSFUL OUTCOME

The event unfolded seamlessly, and the feedback from our client was overwhelmingly positive. They expressed their satisfaction, noting that they had never witnessed such a high level of quality and creative work in their extensive experience. Our collaboration not only engaged the guests but also amplified excitement around the movie premiere, achieving our client's goals and further cementing our commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences.
