Leading with Heart: How Bryan is Redefining Operations at MiHi

At MiHi Entertainment, we pride ourselves on cultivating a culture that champions creativity, teamwork, and innovation. When Bryan joined us as our Operations Manager in April of this year, we knew we were bringing on someone special. Now, as the year unfolds, Bryan has proven to be a driving force of positive change, embodying the values that make MiHi extraordinary.

From Warehouses to Breweries: A Journey of Leadership

Bryan’s path to MiHi is as diverse as it is inspiring. Starting with nearly seven years at Vail Resorts as an Assistant Warehouse Manager, he honed his logistical expertise before diving into the beer industry. His tenure in beer brought not only managerial growth but resilience—surviving and thriving through the challenges of COVID-19 while opening a brewery.

Bryan speaks fondly of the camaraderie he found in the beer world, comparing it to the wine industry. Despite the “snobby beer world people” he humorously mentions, he was captivated by the endless possibilities beer offers. Denver, being one of the top beer markets, became his playground for planning parties and corporate events, skills that seamlessly translated into his current role at MiHi.

The Introduction to MiHi

Bryan’s introduction to MiHi Entertainment came through Dry Dock Brewing Company, where he collaborated with Joyce, our Sales Director. He was familiar with MiHi’s products from his previous events. He had rented our VR headsets and a river rafting photo booth experience. That collaboration left a lasting impression, and soon enough, led him to an interview for the Operations Manager position.

“It’s been challenging but exciting to step into something new,” Bryan shared. And step in he has—bringing with him a philosophy of leadership that prioritizes people, trust, and connection.

A Management Philosophy That Inspires

Bryan’s approach to management is both hands-on and heart-centered. “I lead with my heart. I lead by doing. I don’t just sit back and tell people what to do; I get my hands dirty with them,” he explains. His commitment to understanding the needs and challenges of his team fosters a culture of trust and respect.

“I like connections. I appreciate connecting with people. That’s what I strive to do with any job, and it’s what helps me build meaningful relationships,” he adds. This people-first mindset has already begun shaping policies and practices at MiHi, strengthening our culture from the ground up.

Making Magic Happen

Bryan has hit the ground running, leading complex projects with skill and determination. One standout event was Ring Central at Empower Field, which featured multiple AV activations, a light tunnel, and custom gobos—all executed within a tight four-hour setup window.

“It was fun because we got to see the magnitude of everything we can do,” Bryan shared. His leadership in moments like these has brought out the best in our team, proving that together, we can rise to any challenge.

A Bright Future

Bryan’s excitement for MiHi’s future is palpable. “It’s never the same. There are monotonous tasks, sure, but I’m constantly learning new things. That’s what makes it exciting,” he says. With his focus on furthering our AV product line and a management team that values his ideas, Bryan feels empowered to drive innovation and take MiHi to new heights. Chase, a key player on the operations team at MiHi, sums it up perfectly: “Bryan is one of the most reliable people to step foot into the Operations role at MiHi, and he’s going to take us to the next level!”

Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Bryan is a devoted husband and father of two kids, aged 10 and 3. Whether teaching his daughter to ski, exploring the outdoors through hiking, hunting, or fishing, or sampling the latest craft beers, he brings the same enthusiasm and dedication to his personal life as he does to his role at MiHi.

Gratitude and Growth

Bryan’s journey to MiHi reflects our company’s belief in fostering talent and creating opportunities for growth. His ability to pivot, problem-solve, and connect with people has already left a lasting impact on our team and our clients.

We’re thrilled to have Bryan on board and can’t wait to see where his leadership will take us. Here’s to an exciting 2024 filled with innovation, collaboration, and success!
