Recap of August’s Photo booth events in Denver and beyond

August 2016 has been our best and busiest month for photo booth events in Denver since MiHi Photo Booth started business. We had 13 events, three of those dates included double bookings. We acquired our third booth and are putting the finishing touches on our fourth (it’s so beautiful!). To top it all off, I had the unfortunate luck of breaking my leg, but thanks to the owner Jeff stepping in, our wonderful attendant Todd, as well our newest addition to the team, Scott, we were able to “hobble” through August flawlessly.

Our first event in August was the Grand Re-Opening of Daltile’s showroom. They opted out of using a backdrop and instead used one of the showrooms plain white walls and WOW, did the photos turn out amazing! The way the flash bounced off the wall made the photos look almost as amazing as Daltile’s new showroom.

We spent the evening of August 5th in The Gatehouse at the Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette for a fun and flawless wedding. This was our third event at Lionsgate and as always, I was impressed with the venues beauty and the friendliness of the staff.

Saturday, August 6th brought us down to the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo where we set up shop at the Refresh Snoring and Sleep Apnea Center’s booth. For five hours we got to hang out with Dr. E where we learned about the amazing things his practice offers patients with sleep anea. We also got to use the green screen at this event which was so fun! Nothing better than a wild western background for the rodeo!

We wrapped that weekend up with a fun and party filled wedding at the Wynkoop Brewery in Denver. This was our first time as vendors at Wynkoop and it was just as fun working there as it always is eating and drinking there.

Fast forward to August 12th, where we took part of a Charley and the Chocolate themed Bat Mitzvah created by Ricki Booker Events. We’ve worked with Ricki many times in the past and once again, she didn’t disappoint us or her guests. Her creative and intricately detailed decorations were perfectly in line with the party’s theme.

August 18th had us busy with two weddings. The first of the night was at Lionsgate Event Center again but this time we were set up outside at The Dove House. You’d think where they had us set up was made specifically for a photo booth! The second wedding was at the City Park Pavilion in Denver. This was our first time at that location and we really liked the views!

The next day, August 19th brought us the honor of attending two more weddings. The first was at The Manor House in Littleton, where we didn’t use a backdrop but instead, the gorgeous bookshelf they have in the library (rumor has it that if you pull on a certain book, a secret room will open!) The bride was absolutely STUNNING and photographer Valeria Heine did a perfect job capturing her beauty (seriously, you have to see her) The second wedding was located at the Golden Hotel, which is located right on the banks of Clear Creek. The views of the surrounding environment were so beautiful.

We wrapped up that weekend with two more events on Sunday, August 20th. One event was a wedding at Moss Denver – a new venue in Denver, and we are in love. This gorgeous venue was created from an old warehouse in the Santa Fe Art District and things that one can do with it for their event seem limitless. For our second event that day, we donated our booth services to The El Jebel Shriners Fair which was held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. We really enjoyed hanging out with the Shriners and being a part their wonderful fundraiser.

On August 27th, we got to take part in Futuristic Films Backyard Party. If you haven’t heard of Futuristic Films, they’re a “director driven production company” and their productions speak wonders towards their staff’s creativity and vision. We are so honored that they chose MiHi to be a part of their summer celebration.

Finally, our last two events of August. The first was a pool party bar mitzvah at The Eastmoor Swim and Tennis Club. We used the green screen at this event as well and loved it. The green screen photos were a mixture of beach scenes and fun abstract backgrounds that looked amazing on the prints! It was perfect for a party where the guest demographic was full of 13 year old’s! The second event that day and the last event of August was a wedding at The Pines as Genesse. I love that this location is perfectly placed between Denver and the mountains.

We’re so continuously blessed to have the clients that we do and the ability to work with such amazing venues. Thank you so much to everyone that played a part in our August events- we couldn’t be living our dreams without you!

Stay tuned for our next recap of our photo booth events in Denver and beyond!
